Avatar Korra

I have officially fallen victim to the Korra craze. The show is fantastic, the art is stunning, bending is legit, and Korra......Korra is just ridiculously epic.

This took me way too long, especially the water. The water doesn't look that fab but I did what I could I spose, since I've never drawn bended water before. But I like the way Korra turned out.

I got her pose from a video of a guy doing Yang-style Tai Chi, which (Wikipedia's article on Waterbending tells me) is the type of martial art that Waterbending is based on. I made the pose a little more dynamic than it was in the video but the general idea is still there I hope. Oh, and the Chinese characters (Wikipedia's article on Waterbending also tells me) mean...something like "the divine gift of halting water" which is the way you write "Waterbending" in Chinese. I probably messed up the characters somewhere....
